LAST EURO CROSS RACE OF THE YEAR ALMOST ENDS WITH HAMBURGER EATING WIMPY TAKING OUT WORLD CHAMP

While we were enjoying great mud at home, the Euros were having their last race of the year and dry conditions. Imagine. This video is worth watching for the strength of the effort these guys are laying down, not to mention the awesome part where a bunch of spectators, one with hamburger in hand is standing in the middle of the track and almost takes out Albert. Very nice.

Don't know if we are riding tonight. Didn't drive all day yesterday, our side streets are full of snow, and the city's 90% plowed doesn't mean poop here. But hopefully we'll get out.

Thanks to Big Mac for his video this weekend. It drew all-time highs of over 300 visitors a day to our stinky little site. Well done Big Mac, you are our official Bastard Videographer.

Look for an update on riding tonight - or - what the hell, just go ride dammit!

  1. Anyone even considering riding tonight? I might be able to get out of the neighborhood. Redline, if you can hear me, how about a road report. That would be sweet.

  2. I'm in. since my flights were cancelled for the first part of the week i have a clear night. The roads might have snow, or ice, but what the hell, lets go for it. You may want to consider bringing a stud along for traction!

By the way, i cant seem to get the video to run.

  7. It really is worth watching the best guys in the world race, isn't it? I mean they are literally ripping that course. How they can keep that much pressure on the pedal for so long is mind boggling. As close as I get to them is being the guy with the burger in my hand the WTF look on my face.

  8. I've been there burger and WTF on my face. The pace was blazing! Hell those guys did not even have a water bottle on board. The race was over an hour and they looked like they were sprinting the whole way. Oh to be in my 20/30s again!

    very humbling.

  9. The roads look fine for riding tonight, in fact the south loop is carved right down to the gravel.

    Bring it on....
