Deep mud on the Bastard loops has been nearly absent this year ... will tonight be a different story? Who knows. I'll ask the Cyclocross Chef of Knowledge, and get back to you with his deep fried evaluation of the situation.
Would you care for some mayo or mud with your frites?
Actually I don't think that the CCOK knows what awaits us out there tonight, I just know there's been growing interest in the ride since the temperature have become so damn balmy lately. Mud or not, I'm planning on a ride. A little mud riding might be good practice for the race coming our way this weekend - THE VERSLUIS SNOWCROSS II. Reports from the racecourse are telling me it's deep mud. While some of you may wrinkle your brow at the prospect of deep gooey mud, those of you who love the cyclocross, won't want to pass up the chance to dip your wheels in the brown stuff. In case you forgot what it was like racing in mud, I've brought this blast from the past for your enjoyment.

Hope to see you tonight for our 6 p.m. roll-out. And about those fenders ... we don't need no stinkin' fenders ... do we? I might bring a bike washer though.
Lets sauce it up tonight. How about the north loop with the return stretch through the swamp?

Strangely enough I was thinking the same thing! Time for some exploration to the north.

ReplyDeleteFender envy? Fenderenvy? Yeah. Not too bad tonight. Nice ride, no rain ... Having only been in Newark once in my lifetime I'm thinking it was better than Newark. Missed you dude, you would have dug it. See you on the flip side.
ReplyDeleteGreat Video! You know you want my fenders!
